2050 Nissan GT-R Concept

We are used to seeing concept vehicles, designed by automotive companies. But, the 2050 Nissan GT-R concept has a different story than the others. As a matter of fact, the concept was released by the company is Jaebum Choi‘s graduation project; who is an intern at the Nissan Design America (NDA) office.

Many automotive companies are developing concept vehicles; in order to show users what kind of vehicles they will have in the future. And, to show what they can do with today’s technology.

Jaebum Choi, a student at the ArtCenter College of Design in California; chose Nissan’s GT-R model for his internship for his graduation thesis. The model, designed as a one seater, runs on an electric motor.

The concept design, which attracts attention with its X-shaped design and dimensions, is a product of Nissan. The concept car has a headlight design inspired by the Nissan GT-R model and the red lines of the GT-R NISMO.

Stating that the concept vehicle has the feature of brain signals control, Choi said, “We can define my work as a wearable machine. I think connecting the brain to the computer will have better performance than ordinary autonomous vehicles. ” said.

As a matter of fact, NDA Vice President David Woodhouse said, “Jaebum Choi surprised us with his skills. His thoughts and abilities about brain-controlled vehicles are very suitable to our company’s work, in the B2V field. “
