Taiwan-based technology giant Acer has launched a new gaming laptop model under the Nitro series. The panel offers 1080 x 1920 pixels Full HD resolution on its 15.6 IPS screen; and has a 144 Hz refresh rate. Offering a screen brightness of 300 nits with 80% increased screen to body ratio and 7.02 mm thin bezels; the panel directly meets the 72% NTSC color gamut. Powered by Intel‘s 10th generation Core i5-10300H processor; the computer can go up to 4.5 GHz from the 2.50 GHz band with overclocking. The processor, which has 4 cores and 8 threads; is supported by Intel UHD graphics as well as 8 MB of smart cache technology.
The graphics card of the device includes the GeForce GTX 3060 model, powered by NVIDIA‘s 2nd generation RTX architecture Ampere. Coming with 6GB GDDR6 memory configuration, the card offers 15 GB / s memory bandwidth on the 192-bit bus. The computer, which supports 8GB DDR4 SDRAM memory over a single channel, has 1TB HDD and 256GB SSD storage solutions on the storage side.
The model, which includes 1 HDMI, 3 USB 3.0, 1 USB 3.1 and 3.5mm audio input and output ports, provides its communication via Killer Ethernet E2600 Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.0 interfaces, which supports 2 × 2 MU-MIMO technology. It also comes with DTS X technology that provides optimized bass, loudness, speaker protection with up to 6 special content modes. The 57.5 Wh capacity battery offers 10 hours of use. The laptop comes with Windows 10 operating system installed. The Acer Nitro 5 is available on Amazon with a price tag of $ 1238.
