Apple‘s iPhone 13 series smartphones, which will appear in the near future, are getting the expected charging capability. Apple intends to include a “significantly larger” wireless charging coil in the iPhone 13 series; which will release in the coming months. According to a new lecture by Max Weinbach, this breakthrough will not only provide better heat management and more charging power; but will also open the road for reverse wireless charging.
The iPhone 13 may support reverse wireless charging.
According to rumors, Apple intends to expand the physical wireless charging coil in the incoming new iPhone. If this concept receives positive feedback, it will expand the surface area of the wireless charging. Weinbach, a well-known analyst, had stated that the 2021 model iPhones will have stronger MagSafe magnets.
Weinbach speculates that the larger coil size could be utilized for reverse wireless charging, allowing users to charge wireless charging compatible gadgets like AirPods by placing them on the back of the “iPhone.”
Bloomberg‘s Mark Gurman published a statement in February backing this notion. Although Apple has officially announced this function, it is one of the most critical pointers for the iPhone 13 series because this feature does not appear in the FCC certification applications issued for iPhones in 2020 for iPhone 12 models, 2nd Generation AirPods, AirPods Pro, or later Apple Watches.
