American Truck Simulator’s New DLC Announced
Fans of American Truck Simulator’s will have a whole new state to explore next Thursday, November 12. With the arrival of the new DLC called Colorado expansion.
Colorado will be the seventh state to be added to American Truck Simulator since its launch in 2016. It continues from Arizona, New Mexico, Oregon, Washington, Utah, and Idaho. This opens up countless new routes for long-haul carriers to enjoy on SCS’s own journey through Centennial State. As in other states of American Truck Simulator, this is not a complete recreation. But an attempt to reduce the essence of Colorado to an area that is large enough to give a suitably sweeping feel, but not that large.
To this end, SCS’s Colorado contains key geographic landmarks that cover everything from deep canyons and desert landscapes to woodlands and lush mountain ranges from the Great Plains to the Rocky Mountains, including Colorado’s famously picturesque Million Dollar Highway. Major cities, including Denver and Colorado Springs, and attractions such as the Four Corners Monument have also been recreated.
“Colorado has one of the most unique and varied natural landscapes found in North America,” explains SCS, “From emerald-green national forests to the incredible red rock formations jutting up from the earth at Garden of the Gods, you’ll find it nearly impossible to resist taking the time out of delivering loads to explore the natural beauty this state has to offer.”
SCS’s Colorado expansion also introduces new industries, including a gold mine, and a number of new perspectives for those who want to capture and view the landscape from a more cinematic perspective, as well as state-specific Steam achievements.
