Apple May Introduce 12.9-Inch iPad Pro With Mini LED Screen in the First Quarter of 2021
Having signed a supply agreement with a Taiwanese touch panel manufacturer; Apple has shown that the iPad Pro with mini LED display is close. In fact, the manufacturer’s announcement that it will begin production of touch panels for the iPad Pro in January; is proof that the new product can be announced by March. Every day new information is emerging about Apple‘s new generation products.
Above all, China-based industry technology newspaper DigiTimes reported a new development regarding Apple‘s suppliers in Asia. DigiTimes reported that Taiwan-based touch screen manufacturer General Interface Solution (GIS) has joined the Apple supply chain. According to the information shared, GIS will be responsible for the integrated touch panel production; for the new 12.9-inch iPad Pro model with mini LED displays. CIS shared a message with its investors regarding the issue. In the shared message, it states that as a result of the agreement with Apple, production will begin in January 2021. This is an indication that we can meet the new iPad Pro in the first quarter of 2021.
As a matter of fact, many leaks have emerged recently regarding the iPad Pro with mini LED screen indicates that the launch of the product is approaching. However, Apple‘s only product with a mini LED screen will not be the 12.9-inch iPad Pro. Shared leaks say a new Mac model with a mini LED screen and M1 processor will be introduced in the first half of next year.
