The game engine of Warzone will not be changed when it welcomes content from Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. Even though Black Ops Cold War itself uses a new engine.

A verified Activision Art Lead announced the news about ResetEra. In response to the chain of comments on the future of the battle royale game, ShutterMunster wrote, “There will be no engine skidding for the WZ.”

Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War runs on a new engine, but Warzone does not seem to be using the new engine. Weapons, operators, and gear from the latest Call of Duty game will be brought to Warzone as part of the cross-franchise integration coming in December.

The verdict means that the Warzone should feel the same overall. Even if the combat equipment you are using is greatly altered by the update.
