There is very little time left for Ludwig van Beethoven‘s 250th birthday, one of the world’s most famous composers. On December 17, 2020, Beethoven, who would have celebrated his 250th birthday, will be remembered by Google. The company is preparing to organize a comprehensive event for the special day. However, Google will commemorate the world-famous composer with its international video project Global Ode to Joy.

Google plans to hold an online concert for the famous composer’s 250th birthday. Google offers an alternative for big events that could not be held during the coronavirus pandemic. The participation of artists from all over the world is requested for Beethoven, which will be remembered with the Global Ode to Joy event. Emphasizing that we need Beethoven‘s messages of unity, togetherness and joy more than ever, the Global Ode to Joy event invites everyone to participate in this event.

The best videos to be sent within the scope of the project will be compiled and published on the Google Arts & Culture YouTube channel. In addition, a big final video will be prepared and shared with the followers on the same channel. As part of the event, artists from around the world are asked to share uplifting videos. These shared videos will be brought together and donations will be collected through Music for Relief.
