So, Taleworlds introduced future content for Mount and Blade II: Bannerlord in a developer update. Obviously, with this new video, many different features and a new multiplayer mode are added to the game; and it looks quite exciting. In fact, many developments, from the multiplayer duel mode to the new battle scenes; are added to the game with the new beta update.
Multiplayer Duel Mode
The first of the details shown with the new developer update video released was the multiplayer duel mode. If you want to balance your skills with another player in real time, you are in the right place. This mode, which is also in the final stages of the testing process; will be added to the game with the new major update. You will be free to choose your character and make adjustments while joining the server. Afterwards, the game will send you to a neutral lobby; where you will start the battle by sending a duel invitation to the opponent you have caught your eye. The player who has won 3 rounds in total will win the duel though.
Previously, when the user entered a battle while navigating the campaign map; the battle scene was generated according to the region they were in. As a matter of fact; this sometimes caused us to be stuck in the hills and the efficiency of our cavalry units to decrease. There is a new solution for this situation that can cause many problems like this. So, the game, which now looks at the terrain type of the region you are fighting in, will give you a random scene from within a pool defined for that terrain type. Thus, each region will be connected to its own pool and a random scene selected from the pool will be brought to you in the regions you fight. In fact, as stated in the developer’s note, this will allow players to engage in battles with a much more strategic approach.
New Town and Castle Scenes for Mount and Blade II: Bannerlord
For siege wars, 6 new different stages are added with the update to Mount and Blade II: Bannerlord beta e.1.5.8. The new Empire and Vlandia maps will consist of 4 cities and 2 castles. If you’re looking for a new city to call yourself “this is my home”, keep an eye out for the new beta update though.
If you prefer to burn down the castles you have won instead of taking control, here! The looting mechanics that will be added to the game with the new update allow you to burn away from the city after hitting the money. This will leave the city’s former owner nothing but a ruin that has been looted, the people unhappy, and the buildings damaged.
New Helmets for the Batanians
A total of 9 different helmets designed for Batanians inspired by Celtic culture are added to the game. The Mount and Blade II: Bannerlord team continues the tradition of the series, continuing to design armor and weapons truly inspired.
Sandbox Game Mode
If the main story is boring to guide you and you want to determine your destiny in Calradia without any pressure, the new update is for you. With the Sandbox game mode, you will be able to create your character from scratch and move on your way without being tied to any task. DLSS support came in the 1.5.7 update and I recommend that players using RTX graphics cards turn it on.
