So, with a statement, Instagram, the world's most popular online photo and short video sharing platform, announced a new feature of Reels videos. As a matter of fact, according to the platform's statements, Reels videos of up to 60 seconds can now be shot. As a result, the video limit on Reels, which was increased to 30 seconds in September, has now been increased to 1 minute.
Longer Reels, more fun!
Instagram made its statements on the subject through its official Twitter account. Approaching the event with a humorous language "in their own way", Instagram officials shared an image that almost everyone who uses social media knows, and stated that Reels videos can now be extended up to 60 seconds.
A user who wants to upload a Reels video on Instagram must first switch to the Reels section after entering the content upload section . After doing this, it will be seen that there is a section about the time in the menus on the left side of the screen. Users will be able to shoot Reels videos by tapping on this section and choosing the length of 15, 30 or 60 seconds.
The Reels feature that Instagram rolled out a while ago was actually a clone of TikTok. However, Instagram Reels is still one click behind TikTok. Because TikTok users can now take videos of up to 3 minutes and publish them on the platform. Users who want to experience the feature on Instagram have to settle for 1 minute for now. We don't know at this time whether the scope of the feature will grow a little more in the future.
