Enterprise Service Time has been reduced by Microsoft for the Windows 10 operating system. The biggest reason for this update, which was taken as if it was a radical decision, is user feedback.
The service process, previously shortened as a result of the changes by Microsoft Office, made in Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC. As a result of users’ feedback, apparently no one needed Windows support for 10 years.
Microsoft offered 10 years of support for Windows 10 LTSC. Thus LTSC reduced from 10 years to 5 years, especially due to the feedback of home users that they do not need Windows support and update for 10 years and a previous service update on Office.
Windows 10 IoT Enterprise LTSC support remained stable
In addition, IoT Enterprise users, used by corporate companies for professional purposes; will continue to receive LTSC support for 10 years. Considering that Microsoft Windows is not stable for the same operating system for 10 years, a 10-year LTSC support for Windows 10 may sound quite “marketing”.
Given that it is mostly for individual use and Free-Dos device sales are still at very low levels in the world; Windows version upgrades will not affect users who make frequent PC changes, as a new license comes with each purchased computer. The reactions of users who invest in Windows 10 Enterprise licenses has not surfaced yet; but they are expecting serious complaints in this regard.
