Orwell’s Animal Farm Comes To Steam

Orwell’s Animal Farm, which was announced in August, is a game adaptation of the classic 1945 novel. As we live in Orwell times, tells the experts, it is appropriate for the game to come out just before 2020 finally ends: exactly December 10th.

Developed by Reigns studio Nerial (also in their work Card Shark), the game apparently plays with the source material. You will also come across “familiar characters and situations” from the novel. According to the Steam page, some things in the game will be affected by “events that Orwell didn’t live to see”. I don’t think they mean that Doom can be played on the piano.

Orwell’s Animal Farm will be a narrative driven game, but it has some management aspects as well. However, you will be responsible for assigning tasks, choosing laws and honing Animalist propaganda. It features gorgeous hand-drawn artwork and includes the writing on Emily Short.
