Path of Exile: Echoes of the Atlas Will be Released on January 15!
Grinding Gear Games announced that the next major DLC package for Path of Exile, Echoes of the Atlas; will be released for the PC platform on January 15th. Thus, according to the press release, the expansion offers new endgame content; a new challenge league, new skills, and a new boss known simply as The Maven. Path of Exile: Echoes of the Atlas promises to test the courage of players brave enough to tackle various challenges. Killing three map bosses in the presence of Maven will guide them to defeat those bosses at the same time. After players defeat ten bosses, Maven will challenge the warriors.
As players prove their strength, they will take control of their Atlas by unlocking regional passive trees. The content they encounter and the rewards they receive while exploring the various regions will be increased. In addition, the new endgame rewards include three types of Craftable Hour Stone; that allow players to upgrade their Atlas and increase the rewards they find from the maps. As a matter of fact, these new Craftable Clock Stones can be traded, stored if they do not expire.
Another new endgame reward called The Maven’s Orb can randomly upgrade items with two or more effect modifiers. While one of these effect modifiers will be upgraded, the others will be removed, so choose wisely. In fact, if a riser being upgraded has already reached its highest tier, it is promoted to a new raised tier. A total of 13 new unique items and a set of ‘Divination Cards’ can be earned in Echoes of the Atlas.
