Qualcomm Introduced Snapdragon 678 Processor

Qualcomm introduced the Snapdragon 678 chipset, which provides high performance in mid-segment smartphones. The new processor has dramatic improvements compared to its previous generation Snapdragon 675. Hardware company Qualcomm introduced the Snapdragon 678 chipset designed for mid-segment smartphones. The new set will replace the Snapdragon 675 introduced in 2018 and is also used in the same segment of smartphones.

According to Qualcomm‘s statement, the new Snapdragon 678 will have high graphics performance in videos and gaming. Developed by Qualcomm engineers for a long time, this chipset will make a big difference compared to the previous generation. The previous chipset, Snapdragon 675, runs at 2.0 GHz clock speed. The clock speed of the new Snapdragon 678 has been increased to 2.2 GHz. Thanks to its Kryo 460 CPU and Adreno 612 GPU, the set aims to offer high performance to users.

The connection speed of the Snapdragon 678 can reach up to 600 Mbps thanks to its X12 LTE modem. Therefore, this processor does not have internal 5G support. The processor also offers photo support at 48 MP resolution. The new phones that will come with this processor set will also have some new features such as portrait mode, 4K HD video recording and 5x optical zoom. The Snapdragon 678 lags slightly behind other chipsets on the market because it is produced with 11 nm technology and does not offer 5G support. However, the company states that it produces this chipset not for flagship models, but for smartphones in the middle segment.
