Samsung’s New Foldable Phone Samsung W21 Released

South Korean technology giant Samsung has released a new foldable phone called Samsung W21. This foldable phone with 5G support is currently only available in China. The phone resembles the Galaxy Z Fold 2. W21 differs from Galaxy Z Fold 2 with its metallic gold color and larger design.

5G powered Samsung W21 is priced at 19,999 CNY (about $ 3,000), it is more expensive than Galaxy Z Fold 2 but the W21 has a more flamboyant design and improved specs. The technical features of the two devices are almost identical. However, Samsung is trying to strengthen its place in the market of foldable screen smartphones with this new model.

Galaxy W21 5G is similar in design to Galaxy Z Fold 2. The phone, which has an inward folding structure, has an AMOLED display on the front with a 6.23-inch 60 Hz refresh rate. Additionally, it carries another 7.7-inch AMOLED display with 120 Hz refresh rate inside. The Galaxy W21 5G, which looks interesting with its golden yellow color, is powered by the Snapdragon 865 Plus processor. However, This processor is accompanied by a 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of internal storage. It supports 25W fast charging of a 4,500 mAh battery.

On the back of the Samsung W21 three cameras are mounted: 12 MP wide-angle main camera + 12 MP ultra wide-angle camera + 12 MP telephoto camera. These cameras are arranged vertically, as in the Galaxy Z Fold 2. On the front, the phone has a 10 MP resolution selfie camera.

Only 50 thousand units of this phone will be produced and the Galaxy W21 5G will be sold only to China for now. However, it is not yet known whether this model will go on sale in other markets.
