Slack software, a popular internal communication platform, is planned to be sold. Famous software company Salesforce will pay $27.7 billion to buy Slack. The sale is excited for both parties. What will be the innovations awaiting users is currently unknown.

Slack is actually a messaging application. Thanks to this application, companies can provide internal communication in written form. Slack software allows the users to set up different channels. In this way, employees in the same unit can communicate iwth each other.

Slack software was released in 2010, but it became famous in 2020. Slack software will be purchased by a software company called Salesforce. Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff stated that this acquisition will shape the future of the enterprise applications industry.

Founded in 1999, Salesforce has grown very well, especially in the past few years., even buying more than 60 companies in the process. In 2020, they increased their financial value by 40 percent. The present value of the company is estimated to be $220 billion. It will grow even bigger after they buy Slack. Mark Hawkins, chief financial officer of Salesforce, says they will continue their “opportunistic” approach.
