Sony introduced their new BRAVIA XR series TV models with Cognitive Processor XR technology prior to CES 2021. Sony introduced the new BRAVIA XR series 4K LED and 8K OLED TV models ahead of CES 2021. TVs built on the Cognitive Processor XR processor are the world’s first cognitively intelligent TV.
The television models announced include; MASTER Series Z9J 8K LED, MASTER Series A90J, A80J OLED, X95J, and X90J 4K LED models. The new BRAVIA XR series is designed to create the way people see and hear, beyond traditional artificial intelligence. It uses a completely new method. The Cognitive Processor XR processor, supported by cognitive intelligenc;, determines where the focal point is by dividing the screen into multiple regions.
While traditional artificial intelligence (AI) can only detect and analyze visual elements such as color, contrast, and details separately. The Cognitive Processor XR can cross-analyze a number of elements at the same time, just like our brains do. While the device performs this, it adjusts all items in an interconnected way. Thus, everything on the stage is designed in a synchronized and realistic way.
Masaomi Ando, Sony Europe TV, department head made the following statement; “Sony’s goal is to continually innovate in TV technology to deliver the most immersive viewing experience possible. The new BRAVIA XR TVs convey reality better than ever, thanks to the processing power of the world’s first cognitive processor that goes beyond traditional artificial intelligence.” made statements.
