TCL was one of the stars that took the stage at the CES 2021 events held in virtual environment this year. The company, which meets consumers with new smart television models; seems to support the understanding of the new trend of the television industry in 2021. Because TCL, which has been using miniLED technology in several different models for a while; will adopt this technology just as Samsung and LG have done.
New year new tv’s
According to the statements made by TCL, the company will produce Roku TV-supported televisions in 2021. In addition, these televisions will offer 8K resolution support. The 4K images that consumers will try to run will be upgraded to 8K resolution quality through a special engine. If we don’t ignore the fact that there is almost no content that offers true 8K resolution for now; we can say that TCL has taken a very logical step.
According to the statements made by TCL, the company will also make a change on the currently used miniLED technology. The company, which named its new technology “OD Zero“, will thus produce ultra-thin screens. The company will achieve this by reducing the gap between the LCD panel on the screen and the backlight LEDs to 0 millimeters. If we consider this process as a great innovation, we are officially acquainted with TCL‘s third generation miniLED technology.
TCL will name its new generation smart TV series “The XL Collection“. This series will include three 85-inch sized televisions. One of them will be called “4 Series TCL Roku TV“, one will be called “QLED 4K HDR TCL Roku TV” and one “miniLED 8K TCL TV“. Announcing the price of only 4 Series TCL Roku TV, the company says that this television can be purchased for $ 1,599.
