Tesla is Halting the Production of Model S and Model X
Electric car maker Tesla will cease production of Model X and Model S in the coming weeks; according to emails sent by the company’s CEO, Elon Musk. Although the reason for this halt is not fully shared either by the company or Elon Musk. However, the rumors are already circling the web.
The most popular rumor is that Tesla will get the necessary hardware updates for the Model S and Model X. That is, within 18 days of stopping production. It is not known how accurate this prediction is. On the other hand, Elon Musk informed the employees about what will happen to them when production stops. In the e-mail sent by Elon Musk to the company’s employees, it was stated that the production of Model S and Model X will be stopped on December 24. Elon Musk stated that December 24 and December 25 will be paid leave, when production is stopped, and that employees will not be paid on December 28-30.
In addition, employees will receive their wages between December 31st – January 1st and on the days between January 4th and January 8th. Employees who will return to their jobs on January 11 will not receive any wages for the remaining time. In other words, employees will be deemed to have 7 days of paid leave during the 18-day production shutdown period.
